Niki De Saint Phalle

Today, I went to Paris to see the Niki De Saint Phalle, at the Grand Palais. It was an excellent exhibition showing the whole range of her work. I was very glad to take photos. As, the last Niki De Saint Phalle exhibition I wasn't allowed to take photos and a security guard followed us every where, (I was trying to take subtle photos). I find her work inspiring and I hope you do to..... enjoy.

There was a big line up to get in, but I'm very blessed to have a pass, that get's me in straight away and for free.(it's okay I made up for it in the shop) Snake tree fountain is in the centre of the lines.

I was very excited to find a couple great books in English.... 

She also did an amazing garden in Italy, it's called "Tarot Garden", in Garavicchio, Italy. The video in the exhibition shows a dynamic wonderland. I want to go!

The Eldest Turns 8, (well on the 10th)

Today, we had a birthday party for the eldest and his school friends. He woke at 5am, already very excited. There was lots to prepare during the week, but everything worked out great.

These were the gluten and egg free chocolate muffins.

Mixed with the normal chocolate cupcakes, (my taste tester wasn't too keen on the Gluten free ones).

I won this year!, my flour glue was super strong and resisted all the hits.... the string broke and then all of the kids jumped on it.

It's starting to get cold, and soon all of the gardens will change. We had a really wet summer, so there are still lots of flowers. Today I went for a walk, and tried to capture the different shapes and colours. Lots to inspire...
