Darth visits...

We finished watching the last of Star Wars the other week...mmm I see a few influences around the house.

School Holidays...

Yesterday, it was making a sculpture.

Today, it was cutting the grass.

Someone was happy with his new toy.

Happy Easter 20th of April.

Happy Easter everyone!!! 

... so the boys both got up, not too early and then they saw that the easter bunny had made a delivery in the back garden... which they quickly ran out (even though it was a little wet)... and they then collected the loot. In the collection there were two big eggs from Playmobile, which they were excited. 

Now, the eldest loves the colour orange, and now so does the youngest. But one egg was orange and one was yellow...this was the bunny's first mistake...he also made a mistake my giving the youngest a playmobile, which is okay, but he prefers Lego, so there was a swap to make someone a bit happier, phew!...

Then, while I was getting breakfast the smallest was doing an exchange of orange covered chocolate eggs without permission! Then the eldest spat the dummy and was screaming and crying, even though he had twice as many eggs...arrg!  

We sorted it out but, crying and screaming was not my idea of a happy easter...

Then after they started playing together happily, then after a chocolate egg breakfast, they did either...
           a) sat and coloured in their colouring in pages. or 
           b) sat and watched tv, or 
           c) drew on each others faces with textas (markers).

Here, the eldest looks serious, he was concentrating on a wii game.

Bayeux, today 19th of April.

Today we finished off our trip by going to Bayeux, to see the Tapestry and have lunch before we headed home. This was my second visit, but this time it was calm and I had the chance to do some drawings directly from the Tapestry, which I will publish later. I love Bayeux, the architecture and the atmosphere.

The Tapestry is in here, for me they had updated all of the spaces, inside the museum. You couldn't take photos inside, (but soon I will add some drawings).

After, I was on kid duty...someone was hungry.

While I was searching for an atm, sandwiches, baguettes and honey.

"Chemin de Fer", at Clercy, on Friday the 18th of April.

Here we are at a train place...35km from Caen.

Where the small train sleeps...

The man started building a small selection of model trains, but now has 310 square meters.

Here is the train boy, he just loves trains...he was running up and down to see everything.

Caen, Friday the 18th of April.

This was hubby and my second visit to Caen, but when you have kids, you get to do other things...like hang out at the playgrounds, find toilets, watch workmen clean monuments and run after your kids...

The Castle on top of the hill, inside there is a few things to see, (like a couple of museums and art gallery) but this time I got to hang out at the playground, find food and toilets.
