Paris-Nice

The Paris to Nice bike race started today in our town of Maurepas. The boys took their bikes to check out some of the racers.

Spring Fever...

Here is our re-vamped coffee table... We had this cheapo table, and after a couple of years it was looking a bit tired. From all of us... so with a map, some glue, a roller and varnish, I covered the table.

It's not perfect, there are bumps and wrinkles, but it will do until the next coffee table purchase... 

Gifts..

Sometimes I keep gifts, from special friends...I don't know what I'm waiting for... So here is a teabag, with a special lady, Queen Elizabeth I. She still had a good taste after 2 years spent in the cupboard.

Crêpes

Today we made crêpes, above is the recipe I used. It was in the school book of the eldest, so it must be okay (he goes to french school!). Farine is Flour (plain), Sel is salt, Huile is oil ( I used sunflower oil), Oeufs are eggs, Lait is milk, Verre is a glass, Cuillère is spoon, a dessert spoon, Pincée is pinch. I used an electric mixer too, just to ensure all was mixed well.

I bought a special crêpe pan and it worked perfectly.

Banana with Nutella was the best combination.... yummo.

Paris Hotel de Ville

Yesterday I visited Paris, after a big week with kids home from school and a broken heater. At the Hotel de Ville in the 4th, there is a FREE photographic exhibition, called "Paris Magnum". For a winters day, quiet cold, the line to get in was super short. I only had to wait 5 minutes (which was amazing!). The exhibition was excellent!

Just in the back streets I found this wonderful shop called "Luka Luna", and bought these two beauties...and I could have easily bought so much more...

Cat & Kid

The eldest loves animals, but Cleo the cat isn't too friendly...because when she was a kitten, he use to pull her tail. She even rips my arm off every now and then.

She does look cute when she is sleeping...
