Grand Gallery of Evolution, in Paris

Last Friday, we visited The Grand Gallery of Evolution in Paris. There was a dinosaur exhibition, but the permanent collection was much more interesting. Someone kept asking if any of the animals were alive. I said "only the human ones".
Whale.
From the top, it's fabulous, but terrible to photograph. The light is so dark inside.
Dodo...
A real live person.
Whale skeleton and light wall.

Archaeological Musem in St Germaine en Laye, trip 2.

We went again to the archaeological musem, in St Germaine en Laye. This time we had more time to explore the Roman and collective areas. I tried to put different photos in this post. The first series of photos are from the Roman section.
See, there was lots of snow.
Part of the collection, a copy of the Venus of Willendorf (the original is in Vienna).
Pre-historic works.
Part of Gaul collection.

The snow last week...

Last week we were almost house bound by the snow. It snowed for 24 hours, messing up roads and transport. The only way about was walking in snow boots. We were going to drive somewhere for a short holiday, but after the snow we decided to stay at home....This is a sculpture in front of the town hall. She might be a little cold.
Some boy action in the back yard...
Ready for action.
Raspberries...
