 As
 part of national commemorations of the bicentenary of the death of 
Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf (1738-1815), founder of the Manufacture de
 Jouy, the Lambinet Museum presents the exhibition "The fiber heroes" 
.Celle it proposes to find, with
 the printed canvas, reflects the ideals and events that interest the 
company at the end of the eighteenth century and the first half of the 
nineteenth century. Characters in the paintings, faithful to the neoclassical canons fashionable in their time, often represent ancient heroes. Other paintings depict episodes and heroes of literary, scientific or contemporary military. Reflections of the news, they also show the flight of the first balloons or even significant naval battles. These
 ultra-narrative sets were mainly produced by the Manufacture de 
Jouy-en-Josas, but also manufactures Rouen, Nantes and Mulhouse. Mostly
 borrowed from the Museum of Toile de Jouy in Jouy-en-Josas, exposed 
paintings form a complement to the exhibition "Christophe-Philippe 
Oberkampf, 1738-1815; the toiles de Jouy, a human adventure, industrial 
and artistic" , held in Jouy from 15 September to 27 December 2015.
