Today at the Lego Exhibition in Paris

Today we visited the lego Exhibition in Paris called "The Art of The Brick de Nathan Sawaya", but seriously it should be called 'the art of the BIG RIP-OFF in Paris'. (54 euros for a family of 4). It was good, but only go if you have discounted tickets. The sculptures are spot lit, it's dark inside and no flash photography is allowed.

Thankfully the walk back to the station was pleasant.

4th of August, Chateau of Meillant

We had an excellent tour inside the Chateau, but we weren't allowed to take photos (see below for a link, they have interior photos). Both boys were very good listening and walking around.
The grounds were beautiful.
Hubby and the boys went on a quest...

2nd of August, Chateauroux.

On a super hot Sunday we visited Chateauroux. We ate at the "Cafe de Paris", which had excellent food.
Hubby got the best dessert on the day!
Boys always find a good playground.
Church of Notre Dame
A man told us, that a woman who recently died donated all of her money for this statue to be made and to be placed on top.
Abbey in Chateauroux.

The Bertrand Museum. They had a great collection of art and objects.

They had lots of Napoleon things.
The eldest was okay looking at this, but not and the real mummy. He wasn't wrapped up.
The curiousity section was very cool. The shrunken head from South Amercia (not pictured), was very curious indeed.
Glad to see some Aussie birds made the collection.
These last two were made by Camille Claudel.
