12th of January, rain day at the Markets.

This was a rain, stormy day... So we visited the markets, and just down the road was more graffiti.

11th of January, St Kilda Pier

More cool graffiti.

Melbourne Central shops.

Great car spotting again, by the eldest.
St Kilda Beach.

Looking to the city.

Fabulous sky going to the pier.

We did see a couple of penguins at the pier, but it was too dark for photos.

Luna Park at night...

10th of January, Fitzroy.

Good car spotting by the eldest...

The youngest was in love with this tram.

Fitzroy has cool architecture, trendy shops and fabolous graffiti.

9th of January, Torquay.

One day we took a 90 minute drive out of Melbourne to Torquay. We were looking forward to having a happy day at the beach, but it was too windy, it was like a sand storm...

7th of January, NGA Australia, Federation Square.

The Australian collection is very accomplished. It's chronological and has a couple of favorites of mine. This painting above is by John Glover and a staple in the art teaching business.

John Brack,"5 o'clock Collins Street"

There is a fabulous retrospective exhibition of Del Kathryn Barton's work.

The details of the colours and lines of the big ones are mind blowing.

A detail of one of the works.

A large number of her works have adult content, so be aware of that before you take the kids. Click HERE for a link to the NGV, for her show.

The aboriginal section has some fabulous works too.

These works by Louisz Paramor were also amazing.

This was in the square, blow up architectural shapes, that kids could go in...

We then visited the Botanical Gardens.

Retiring each day back at Docklands.
