Panthéon Paris

Today, I had a lovely day in Paris, it was suppose to rain all day, but thankfully it didn't. I had to buy a couple of things and I also visited the Panthéon. When I lived in Paris, I went to it a couple of times, but never went in (it's not free). I was reading in a recent 'Time' magazine, that a photographic exhibition was on, by the artist JR, and I just had to go! (info and links are at the end).

Yep, they are renovating...
The giant mosaic of faces, underneath the dome.
The other decorations are amazing too!
Looking up into the dome space.
I just had to take more and more photos of the photo mosaic.
A model of the Panthéon.
Down in the Crypt, this one is empty.
This one was full...
Back up, near the Revolution sculpture.
So many faces...
The view from the exit!

From Wikipedia: "An installation by JR from collected 2,500 selfies/portraits collected during the month of March 2014 with his traveling photo booth truck across France and the world, displayed for his artwork at the newly restored Pantheon in Paris, France; a secular temple in Paris where the famous are buried. Black-and-white images have been used to create a mosaic that is visible around the drum of the building, beneath the dome, on certain places within the monument, and on the floor, creating a photographic runway down the center of the site".

The Boys had a great time bowling, thank goodness for the bumpers.
First game was a draw.
Each boy has their own unique style of bowling...
The youngest won the 2nd game...
