Museu Nacional D'Art de Catalunya

Today we visited the "Museu Nacional D'Art de Catalunya", and you need the two days they give you to see everything. They have the largest collection of Romanesque art works in the world.

These next few, stand in front of the Altar, they are made out of wood.
Altar fom La Sau d'Urgell, known as the The Apostles Frontal, second quarter of the 12th century.

This was hard to explain to a 7 yr old.

These three are details of an altar frontal, they are the three wise men, that visited Jesus at his birth.

The Renaissance and Baroque Section. This one is by El Greco, The Bearing of the Cross, 1590-1595.
