A snow day!

Today, we woke to a light cover of snow.
Then it melted, and then after we got home from the shops, it snowed again. The eldest was so happy, that his wishes had all come true. But it was too warm for the snow, and it all disappeared.
Then the youngest came home happy after finding the trinket in the king cake, called "Galette des Rois", click here to read more about it.
The eldest was happy with his new policeman.
Here he is in action.
Great sky to end the day.

Australia Day 2

I made some oz inspired cupcakes, green & gold and some lamington inspired ones too.
Afternoon tea was a big success.

Happy Australia Day!

Tony Abbott, 2013-
Julia Gillard, 2010-2013.
Today is Australia Day! I feel like I'm in the movie 'Scrooged', I've been visited by present and past Aussie Prime Ministers... (Poor Kevin Rudd, he didn't make it in the cut). Above is Bob Hawke, who was prime minister from 1983-1991. I have John Howard and Paul Keating left to visit me in my tea...
