Narbonne, visit on the 19th of August

The Archaeological Museum, they had a great roman collection, as Narbonne was a major roman town. At the start of the museum I asked if i could take photos, the lady said "yes", but half way through I was told "no photos"... now if my camera was silent, I could have taken so many more. Just like some museums, you can't take photos and at the end at the shop the book or postcard selection is poor, or the quality of the book disappointing. The mural section was amazing.

This was a tiny piece of pottery. But so beautiful.

Cathedral in town.

Alex being funny, with a mask leaf.

Me and one of my boys.

Yves and the kids walking on the old roman road.

Canal du Midi.

Carcassonne, visit on the 12th of August

We visited the medieval town of Carcassonne, it was very cool. Inside the walls was an old town with cafes, restaurants, a few hotels and many shops. Yves & Alex went on a tour of the interior castle, while Max & I walked about. It has a great atmosphere and many tourists from everywhere.
